Valerie Dearing's beginning and intermediate level hatha yoga classes promote the wisdom of living with traditional ancient poses, breathwork, meditation, and stillness to enjoy better sleep, posture, and deep relaxation. Her classes nourish physical, mental, and spiritual wellness and can help relieve illnesses such as arthritis, back problems, and depression using gentle stretches, twists, strengthening, and balance practices. This yoga style can help enhance the immune system and restore and renew your energy.
The beginning level classes are for those who are new to yoga or who wish to improve their mind/body health moving slowly and mindfully. This practice is low impact and uses seated, reclining, and standing poses.
A number of mats will be provided, but please bring your own if you have one.
